Watering During Periods of Drought

If you have a south-facing lawn, which receives a lot of sunlight, you'll definitely need to supplement your lawn’s natural water intake, especially during periods of drought (or no snow cover). In this case, you should follow a weekly watering regimen to avoid long-term damage to the crown – the growing point – of the grass plant. It’s best to water deeply, infrequently, and in the early morning when temperatures are cooler and the water will not evaporate.
