The team at Weed Man is proud to announce that they are once again joining forces with Project EverGreen for the GreenCare for Troops campaign!

Weed Man franchisees have been a key part of this effort since 2006, helping military families during difficult times. The program connects skilled professionals with military families to help maintain their yards during deployment, easing both the physical and financial burden of lawn care. This effort not only supports families practically, but also fosters community engagement with those who serve the country.

Weed Man’s Phil Fogarty has been a dedicated volunteer for the program since its inception in 2006.

“We didn’t know how many families would sign up for the free service, but we were happy we could fill a need for so many,” said Phil.

“What a testament to the heart of our industry!”

Currently, Weed Man serves 275 military families in 29 states through the program. The program is about so much more than just green grass and clean yards. It’s about our military families and taking one worry off their plates. It’s about giving them back some of their time so they can focus on themselves and their children.

A Challenge Coin Honoring Families

We are also thrilled to announce we have launched a Challenge Coin recognition initiative to honor military families participating in the GreenCare for Troops program.

Rooted in military tradition, challenge coins are symbols of service, sacrifice, camaraderie, and appreciation. Select Weed Man franchisees will present a custom challenge coin to every GreenCare for Troops family. These coins serve as a lasting reminder that their sacrifices are recognized and valued by the communities they call home.

“Weed Man is both excited and honored to expand our partnership with Project EverGreen’s GreenCare for Troops,” said Weed Man’s Cam Cundiff. Cundiff represents Weed Man’s Epic3 franchise group, which currently provides complimentary lawn care services to 102 military families across 16 states.

“Each family benefiting from GreenCare for Troops through an Epic3 franchise will receive a coin, letting them know we have their lawns covered while they serve and protect our country,” added Cundiff. “We hope it serves as a comforting reminder of home.”

He added, “We want to do our part in giving back to the service members and families who sacrifice for our country every day, and this program allows us to do exactly that.”
